Single Word

A Single Word search will return documents containing the word. This is the most basic type of search.

Accrue

An Accrue search will return all documents containing any of the words given. Use two or more words.

Phrase

A Phrase search is an Accrue search enclosed in double quote pairs (e.g., "two words"). Unlike an Accrue search, which returns any pages where all of the words appear, a Phrase search will narrow your results down to just those documents that contain instances of the keywords in the exact order they appear in the phrase.

Boolean

A Boolean search returns documents containing words under conditional criteria. A word preceded by a plus (+) indicates that the word provided is mandatory to any documents returned; while a minus (-) returns only those documents that do not contain the word that follows it. Minus (-) takes precedence over plus (+). You may also use parentheses to establish grouping and hierarchies along with the Boolean operators AND, OR, and NOT.
